“MOOSE” by Big-Game, (CH) for Vlaemsch ( )
His aim is to edit each new year a series of objects that are linked to a self-imposed theme. The first year’s theme is the reinterpretation of the codes of bourgeois furniture. The Moose is part of this series: a modernised, somehow abstract version of the trophy head, executed in triplicate. “We wanted something light to stress the heavy drama that is usually associated with this object – the killing of the animal and the stuffing of the head.” The multiplex plaques are packed flats according to the kit principle. They fit together forming the head of an elk. This product evokes the construction game of our childhood days and proposes an environmental take on the hunting trophy. Material: beechtriplex. Size when mounted: 96,3 x 61,8 x 86,2 cm - 37.9" x 24.3" x 33.9". Made in Belgium.

By moving from l’ENSAV La Cambre in Brussels to ECAL in Lausanne(CH), ELric met Grégoire Jeanmonod and AUgustin Scott de Martinville and they founded together, Big-Game. The first collection ‘Heritage in Progress’ has been followed in 2006 by ‘Pack Sweet Pack’. Selected as the up-and-coming personalities in the next years by the international design magazine Wallpaper, the Big-Game group pays attention to humorous and functional objects and give a personal ans aesthetic interpretation of our cultural habits and heritage.
