The link to the three cardinal points 3,6,9,12:
The face of the clock is made from wenge wood. Its dimensions are intrinsically linked to the multiples of three; so it is 18cm high by 9 cm wide.
To show the four cardinal points of the clock, two median grooves have been lightly rebated into the surface. The small hand has been designed in relation to the short median and the big hand in relation to the long median. The second hand is designed in relation to the diagonal and undulates at its extremity to break the formality of the clock and also to make its movement more enjoyable.

About Thierry Bataille: Creative profile
”The ecological problems that occur in our lives today force us to think about furniture differently. In my work, I want to communicate that it is time to become conscious that natural materials, such as wood, must increasingly become part of the future manufacturing of contemporary furniture” explains Thierry Bataille. He drew several standing furniture, high and hurled tables intended to support house plants, which he exhibits and exports in order to make people aware of his eco-concepts and humanistic steps. These house plants also bring a touch of poetry as much in our spaces of life, leisure, reception, holidays, rest and even in our workspace.
His vision : « The green issues we have to live with today force us to think about furniture differently »
