TURNER by Xavier Lust for Driade
TURNER Project by Xavier Lust.
Turner of Xavier Lust is an object with strong aesthetics. This candlestick for a single candle, realized in polished cast aluminum, relates back to the wealth of the form and expression of the objects Art Nouveau or Jugenstil. Developed as a sculpture with a superb mastery of the torsion of the forms, Turner is brings elegance. Simple and essential, it can equally become a complex creation when two pieces or more form an original and majestic composition.
Height. 32,5 cm/ 12.8”.

Born in Bruges, Belgium in 1969, he got his degree in interior design in Brussels in 1992. Beginning in 1990 he devoted himself to designing and creating furniture and accessories oriented towards industrial production, combining functionality with beauty, high tech with high touch. Convinced that innovation plays a decisive role and must concern the iconographic appearance of the finished product as much as the creative process and the technical-executive implications of design, he pursues his goal of timeless design, both in finished furniture and in interiors. He works with different design companies. Recently his products were exhibited at the Saint-Etienne International Design Biennial, at the International Furniture Salon in Milan, at the “De Nieuwe Oogst” Galerie van het VIZO and at the “San’t in Buitenland” Galerie van het VIZO, both in Brussels. He has won many international awards, such as first prize for Best Design Object in Cologne in 2003 with his “PickNick”, and the “Henry van de Velde 2003 Award” (Young Talent) in 2003. |
